Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily vessel operations and voyage execution, including loading, discharge and compliance with charter party terms.
- Liaise with masters, physical brokers, charterers, port agents, bunker suppliers and technical managers.
- Monitor vessel schedules and performance, coordinate bunker arrangements and agent appointments, and resolve operational issues.
- Maintain regular contact with physical brokers to gather market intelligence and identify cargo and vessel employment opportunities.
- Prepare voyage estimates, assess trading markets and recommend employment options to maximise vessel returns.
- Support chartering discussions, fixture preparation and charter party review.
- Handle freight and hire invoicing, laytime calculations, claims and voyage account reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate voyage records, track voyage profit and loss, and review actual performance against estimates.
Requirements
- Degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, or a related discipline.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in vessel operations, preferably in dry bulk shipping.

- Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage changing priorities independently.
- Willingness to respond to time-sensitive operational matters outside normal office hours when required.
