<p><strong>Role Purpose</strong></p><p>The Head of Department (Supply Chain) leads end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient merchandise flow, high inventory accuracy, and world-class order fulfilment. This role drives operational excellence, leadership, and strategic supply chain performance.</p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead and manage end-to-end merchandise flow, including receiving, storage, and dispatch.</p></li><li><p>Ensure ≥98% compliance with merchandise handling procedures and ≥99% system and delivery accuracy.</p></li><li><p>Drive continuous improvement to enhance logistics performance and operational efficiency.</p></li><li><p>Plan and ensure stock availability for promotional campaigns and peak trading periods.</p></li><li><p>Optimise storage and stock flow to support sales growth and reduce stockouts.</p></li><li><p>Ensure fast, accurate order fulfilment with ≥99% order accuracy and SLA compliance.</p></li><li><p>Reduce delivery-related complaints and ensure efficient returns management.</p></li><li><p>Lead, coach, and develop teams, including recruitment, training, and performance management.</p></li><li><p>Manage workforce planning, scheduling, and ensure compliance with HR processes.</p></li><li><p>Oversee receiving, inventory, and outbound operations while meeting productivity targets.</p></li><li><p>Maintain safety standards, including zero critical incidents, 100% PPE compliance, and audit scores above 80%.</p></li><li><p>Manage inventory integrity, reduce shrinkage and costs, and support profitability and strategic initiatives.</p></li></ul><div><p></p><div><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul><li><p>Grade 12 / Matric (essential)</p></li><li><p>National Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Logistics / Operations Management / Industrial Engineering / Warehouse Management or related field (essential)</p></li><li><p>5+ years’ experience in supply chain, retail logistics, or warehouse management</p></li><li><p>Proven leadership of teams in a high-volume retail or distribution environment</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in inventory systems and logistics optimisation</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to manage KPIs and operational performance</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical and problem-solving ability</p></li></ul></div></div><p></p>
