Data Engineer

<p><span>DFDS is looking for a <strong>Data Engineer</strong> to join our Istanbul Data Engineering team, which is part of a diverse and dynamic Data Engineering chapter of 14 experienced colleagues from a range of backgrounds and nationalities, working across three different locations.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Be part of the movement – and play your part.</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>In This Role, You Will</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>As a Data Engineer at DFDS, you'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that builds and maintains the data infrastructure powering decision-making across the company. You will work closely with other data engineers, analysts, data scientists, platform engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and actionable.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>You will work with a modern tech stack including dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, and AWS components such as S3.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Develop and maintain robust data pipelines using Airflow and dbt</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Develop and maintain data integrations, including ingestion from REST APIs</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Design and optimize data models in Snowflake for analytics and reporting</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Contribute to the evolution of our data platform and engineering best practices</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing within the chapter</span></p></li><li class="MsoNormal"><p><span>Support the onboarding of new tools and technologies as we scale</span></p></li></ul><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity.
