Buoyant is the company behind Linkerd, the CNCF graduated service mesh for Kubernetes. We are a small, fully remote engineering team building cloud native infrastructure and distributed systems.
We are looking for a senior software engineer with strong experience in Kubernetes native software, distributed systems, networking, or related infrastructure.
This is a hands on product engineering role with meaningful architectural ownership. Strong candidates will have experience with Go and/or Rust and a solid understanding of how reliable distributed systems behave in production.
Experience building Kubernetes controllers, operators, CRDs, reconciliation systems, admission webhooks, or software that works directly with the Kubernetes API is especially relevant.
We are also interested in strong distributed systems engineers with deep Kubernetes experience who may not match every requirement.
Candidates are being considered in the U.S., Canada, South America, and Europe with Central European Time compatible working hours.
