We're in the middle of an exciting HR transformation: automating People Operations end-to-end, strengthening our global payroll expertise, and making the whole experience genuinely better for our employees. Based in Barcelona, you'll join the Payroll & People Operations team and own our Spanish payroll (currently ~90 employees and growing), while contributing to our international scope and HR automation agenda with Workday and AI tools. YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT) 🥇 Own the end-to-end Spanish payroll cycle: collect and verify inputs, run payslip checks and reconciliations, and ensure accurate, on-time salary payments, taxes, and social contributions. Handle payroll queries with speed and a human touch — employees should always feel informed and supported. Coordinate with external payroll and benefits providers (Spain, UK, Germany, France) to keep data flows accurate and deadlines tight. Contribute to automating People Operations workflows (onboarding, offboarding, employee changes) using Workday and AI tools. Maintain data quality and consistency across HR, payroll, finance, and accounting systems — and build dashboards to track key metrics. Partner cross-functionally with HRBPs, Recruiters, Finance, Legal, and IT to deliver a seamless employee experience from day one to last day. YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF ⭐ You have: 4-5+ years of hands-on experience processing Spanish payroll A solid understanding of Spanish social security, tax requirements, and employment legislation Experience working with external payroll providers and managing payroll stakeholders Strong analytical skills and a near-obsessive attention to detail Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish goes without saying) Nice to have: Experience with Workday or Papaya Global Exposure to UK, Germany, or France payroll A degree in HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, or a related field — or equivalent experience ABOUT THE ROLE: Individual contributor role Based in Barcelona, Spain Hybrid - 3 days per week at the office mandatory RECRUITMENT PROCESS: Call with Julie, Senior Talent Acquisition Partner (45min) Technical Interview (1h) Internal Stakeholder interview (45min) Team int
