Senior Data Analyst (12-month contract)

As a Senior Data Analyst, you’ll help the organisation make better decisions with data. You’ll work closely with the data team and your insights will feed directly into hipages’ commercial strategy.</p> <p>You’ll help shape the hipages marketplace as it evolves, using your experience to improve things for our customers. You’ll also join a supportive, highly skilled data team whose skills cover everything from engineering to machine learning, where people share what they know and celebrate each other’s wins.</p> <p>You’ll work with colleagues across the business on reporting, insights and analytics for a range of projects, from channel performance to segmentation.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Why join our Data team?</strong></p> <ul> <li>💻 Hybrid working with 2 days WFH, so you can fit work around the rest of your life</li> <li>🪴 An in-house Talent Development team focused on your personal and career growth</li> <li>💰 Competitive salary, benefits and perks</li> <li>🤝 A collaborative culture working with Product, Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teams</li> <li>🧑‍🏫 Hands-on learning, workshops and mentoring to keep growing your skills</li> <li>♀️ Women make up 50% of our Data team, so you’ll be joining a balanced team where your voice is heard</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>How you’ll add value:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build a framework for sharing insights with the business and recommending product improvements</li> <li>Analyse data, trends and results, and explain their business impact to stakeholders</li> <li>Explore the acquisition funnel to find insights and opportunities that grow jobs and tradie numbers</li> <li>Give teams the data they need to shape use cases and requirements</li> <li>Help grow our user base by supporting segmentation strategies for a more personalised customer experience</li> <li>Design, run and measure feature experiments</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Data analytics experience in an e-commerce or technology company</li> <li>Experience working with enterprise data warehouses</li> <li>A love of data, and the ability to make sense of complex information and tell a clear story with it</li> <li>You can turn findings into business recommendations that people act on</li> <li>Strong communication skills, and you build trusted relationships with stakeholders</li> <li>Advanced SQL (or equivalent)</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Looker)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice to haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience in a marketplace or digital-native organisation</li> <li>Google Analytics and A/B testing for SaaS products</li> <li>Forecasting and statistical modelling</li> <li>Understanding of ETL frameworks and tools</li> <li>dbt or data modelling experience</li> <li>Intermediate Python</li> <li>Databricks or Snowflake</li> <li>Salesforce</li> <li>A tertiary degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Actuarial Studies or a related field</li> </ul> <p><strong>Don’t tick every box?</strong> Research shows women often hold back from applying unless they meet every requirement.
