Who We're Looking for

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to join Rover's accounting team. This individual-contributor role owns a broad, hands-on scope of our core accounting processes including month-end close, financial reporting, technical accounting, and audit management. You'll operate as a subject-matter expert in your assigned areas, help develop and implement the policies and processes the broader team relies on, and be a technical resource across the department, all while maintaining the accuracy and integrity Rover's financial reporting depends on. This is a hybrid position that has the minimum expectation to work out of our Downtown Seattle Office two days per week on Mondays and Thursdays. For this reason, candidates must be based in the Greater Seattle Area or willing to relocate.

Your Responsibilities:: Accounting Operations & Close Own month-end and year-end close deliverables for assigned areas of the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis Identify and drive improvements to close processes, automation, and documentation, including under tight timelines Prioritize across multiple close-cycle responsibilities Financial Reporting Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules, including the statement of cash flows, for monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables in accordance with U.S. GAAP Assist with internal and external reporting deliverables, including materials for private equity stakeholders Maintain consistency, accuracy, and audit-readiness across financial statements and reporting deliverables Technical Skills Serve as a subject-matter expert and go-to technical resource for assigned accounting areas, researching and documenting GAAP positions for complex or non-routine transactions Assist with implementation of new accounting standards and policies as directed Audit & Compliance Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors, managing deliverables, schedules, and walkt
