<h1>Head of Legal</h1><p>Nordic Knots is building a global Scandinavian design house for the modern home. Starting with hand-crafted rugs, the brand has expanded rapidly into new home categories including textiles, curtains, and bedroom collections. Supported by top-tier global investors, we are entering our most ambitious growth phase yet. As we scale our international retail presence, complex global supply chains, and commercial partnerships, we are looking for an entrepreneurial, business-minded Head of Legal to join our team in Stockholm.</p><p>This is not a traditional, "by-the-book" corporate counsel role. We need a practical builder and strategic dealmaker who deeply understands the dynamics of e-commerce, retail, and physical product manufacturing. Someone who loves a fast-paced environment and sees legal not as a blocker, but as a strategic enabler for commercial growth. While Swedish law forms our primary legal foundation, extensive exposure to US law is essential, as the US represents our largest market.</p><h3>The Role & What You’ll Do</h3><p>Reporting directly to the COO and working in close partnership with the CEO and CCO, the Head of Legal will serve as a strategic partner across all commercial, operational, and corporate matters. You will take full ownership of our global legal framework, from negotiating major flagship retail leases and complex international supply chain agreements to securing compliance in all markets we operate in and supporting global expansion.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Commercial & Retail Contracts:</strong> Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes commercial agreements, including global retail/store leases, distribution partnerships, wholesale terms, and marketing agreements.</p></li><li><p><strong>Supply Chain & Operations:</strong> Work hand-in-hand with the Operations team to structure and negotiate complex manufacturing, sourcing, supplier, and logistics/3PL agreements across our global supply chain.</p></li><li><p><strong>US & International Expansion:</strong> Navigate cross-border legal landscapes, ensuring regulatory compliance, consumer protection, data privacy (GDPR/US privacy laws), and trade/import compliance with a strong emphasis on US market requirements.</p></li><li><p><strong>Brand Protection & IP:</strong> Oversee our global intellectual property portfolio (trademarks, designs, copyrights) and actively manage enforcement and brand protection strategy as we expand into new product categories.</p></li><li><p><strong>C-Level Strategic Advisory:</strong> Serve as a trusted business advisor to executive leadership, providing clear, actionable risk assessments and practical recommen
